Why Seek Counselling?

Guiding You On the Path of Self-Healing

Mental Health is Health! Meaning we all have it. Similar to going to your family doctor when something doesn't feel right, we recommend doing the same with your therapist. Your mental health is equally as important. 1/5 Canadians will experience a mental health issue in their lifetime, but let's be honest, we ALL experience challenges now and again; you are not alone.

At HRG Counselling we believe that every person can benefit from talking with a therapist; there is no problem too big or too small. We are passionate about mental health and dedicated to enriching the lives of our clients. Together we can work to identify your strengths and achieve wellness.

HRG counselling is founded and operated by Hailey Goldberg. Hailey is a Registered Social Worker who is a passionate advocate for mental health and is committed to helping others navigate challenges while improving quality of life.

Hailey's therapeutic style is client-centered and collaborative, operating under a strengths-based approach. She is extensively training in the use of behavioural modalities including CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy). Her aim is to offer a supportive,

non-judgmental environment, while working together to identify your strengths and achieve wellness.

Hailey obtained a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Windsor and holds an Honours BA in Psychology from York University. Hailey is certified in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and is one of the few Ontario Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Certified-clinicians by the Linehan Board of Certification. Her areas of expertise includes the specialized treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, and issues related to emotion dysregulation.

Hailey's career as a social worker began as a crisis support worker on a mobile crisis team, where she encountered a diverse range of individuals in need. It was during these experiences that she discovered the universal applicability of DBT skills, igniting her interest in this therapeutic modality. From there, Hailey has supported folks in a variety of therapeutic settings, including outpatient hospitals, hospital emergency departments, and community agencies. Hailey has traditionally worked with clients of diverse backgrounds, including the LGBT+ community and those identifying as BIPOC; she is committed to operating under a anti-oppressive, anti-racist and strengths-based framework.

Hailey's unwavering commitment to her clients' well-being, combined with her extensive training and diverse experience, positions her as a trusted advocate for those seeking compassionate and effective mental health support. In addition to her endeavours in therapy, Hailey is passionate about teaching and mentoring others in the field, and regularly offers psychoeducational trainings and consultation to fellow clinicians and students via DBT HOUSE.
